How the studio is set up

Shade Studio is five people: four behind the chair and a coordinator who runs the day. Each stylist has a specialty rather than a general list, which is why the booking question that matters is not when, it is who.

Shauna owns the studio and takes extensions and correction. Samantha works across lived in color and precision cutting. Megan is the cutting specialist. Julia handles a lot of the studio's root work, glosses and blowouts. Beth coordinates all of it and is who you will speak to first.

Who should I book with?

If you want extensions or a correction, Shauna. If you want cut and color together, Samantha. If you want the cut to be the star, Megan. For a gloss, a root refresh or a blowout, Julia. Not sure? Call and Beth will route you properly.

Does everyone do everything?

No, deliberately. Each chair has a specialty, and we would rather send you to the right person than have anyone be adequate at everything.

Can I see a specific stylist's work?

Yes, each stylist page links their work, and the newest work goes to our Instagram first.
