    The consultation

    Free. We look at your density, your length and the condition of your ends, then match color in person under real light. You leave knowing exactly what it costs before you commit to anything.

    The install

    Hand tied wefts on a beaded track. No glue, no heat, no tape on your own hair. Then cut and blended into your hair, which is the part that decides whether this reads as extensions or as hair. IBE installs start at $400.

    The move ups

    Every six to eight weeks the rows come down and are reset closer to the scalp. This is the appointment that keeps your own hair healthy, and it is not optional. Move ups start at $80.

Who this is for, and who it is not

It is for you if you want real length or real density, you are willing to come back every six to eight weeks, and you would rather be told the truth about your hair than sold to.

It is not for you if you want extensions installed the same day you ask about them. We match color in person and order hair specifically for you, so there is always a consultation first. If that is a dealbreaker, we are honestly not the right salon.

It is also not for you if you plan to skip move ups. That is the single thing that turns a gentle method into a damaging one, and we would rather say no than do that to your hair.

What happens next

  • 1. Book the consultation

    Free, about thirty minutes. If you are driving in from out of state, do this before you get in the car rather than after.

  • 2. Color match and order

    We match in person and order your hair. A deposit is taken here, because the hair is ordered for you specifically.

  • 3. Install day

    Several hours. Rows go in, then everything is cut and blended into your own hair until the join is not findable.

  • 4. Move ups, every six to eight weeks

    Book it before you leave. This is what keeps your hair healthy and your hair looking like hair.

How much does this actually cost?

IBE installs start at $400 and move ups start at $80, and the hair itself is priced separately because it is ordered for you. Your exact number is confirmed at the free consultation before you commit to anything. Full pricing is on our service menu.

Will this damage my hair?

Installed and maintained properly, this is one of the gentler methods available, which is exactly why we use it. No glue, no heat, no tape on your own hair. What causes damage is skipping move ups.

I have been burned by extensions before.

Most of our extension clients have. That is why the consultation is free and why we will tell you honestly if what you want is not right for your hair. Turning work down is not us being difficult.

Can I still wear my hair up?

Yes. Rows are placed to stay hidden in a ponytail. Tell us at the consultation if you live in a high pony, because it changes where they go.

I am coming from Brooklyn. Is it worth the drive?

About half our clients make that drive, so you would be in normal company here. Do the consultation first, and we will plan the install day around your travel rather than around our calendar.

How long until I can book?

Consultations are usually available within a week or two. Install days book further out, particularly through the summer, so the sooner you do the consultation the sooner you hold a date.
